Lauderdale County Courthouse Renovations - Phase I
Interior renovations of the first floor, including a new Probate courtroom and Board of Registers offices. -
Lion Habitat at the University of North Alabama
A habitat for two lions, including an outdoor environment with a waterfall, stream, pond, sunning rock and landscaped areas surrounded by a double wall security fence. Two observatories have 1-1/2” thick laminated glass viewing windows. The night house is hidden by a simulated rock wall and contains indoor living and feeding areas, a specialized exam area for veterinarians, and a screened outdoor area for the lion’s privacy. The habitat meets or exceeds U. S. Department of Agriculture and American Zoo and Aquarium Association standards. -
Walk of Honor - Florence, Alabama
The Walk of Honor design includes a serpentine brick walkway, brick and limestone monuments and landscaped areas, located in the River Heritage Park. Bronze plaques honor local people with national or international achievements. -
Royal Avenue Recreation Center & Pools
Interior and exterior renovation of the existing recreation building and construction of two recreation pools and one competition pool. -
Pedestrian Walkways - University of North Alabama
Conversion of city streets into a landscaped pedestrian walkway system within the campus. New main entrance plaza and fountain, two new pedestrian bridges, walkways and ramps were designed to provide handicapped accessible routes between campus buildings. Pedestrian and bicycle shelters were designed along the campus bus route. -
Lauderdale County Courthouse Fountain
A new granite and limestone fountain, fitted into the brick base of the former fountain. This project included new equipment installed in the basement of the Lauderdale County Courthouse. -
Riverhill School - Phase 1
Phase 1 of the comprehensive master plan for Riverhill School, including campus development in three phases. Construction in Phase I includes new classrooms, science classroom, art/music classroom, storm shelter, gymnasium/auditorium/cafeteria, soccer field, baseball field and subsequent parking. The comprehensive master plan can be seen in the "Master Plans" gallery. -
Black Box Theater
An 8,100 square foot experimental theater, including movable seating for 96 and a performance area with a three sided catwalk and ceiling grid for audio-visual equipment. -
Northwest Shoals Community College - Phil Campbell, Alabama Campus
This 9,500 square feet project is a two-level, vocational training center for welding and machine tools. The building consists of a large multi-purpose work area, two classrooms, two offices, restrooms, storage and mechanical rooms. Although not a LEED project, green building concepts were used, resulting in the building performance being 18% more efficient than 2006 International Energy Code requirements.
