Museums > Tuscumbia Transportation Museum Roundhouse
The Tuscumbia Railway Museum, Tuscumbia, Alabama is located at the old downtown train station and freight depot. Hill & Jangaard Architects, P.C. developed a two-phase expansion program for the museum. The first phase includes a museum building with a design based on recreating the appearance of a 19th Century roundhouse. The roundhouse is connected by railroad tracks to an antique locomotive turntable. The second phase will include construction of a theater housed in a replica of a 19th Century passenger rail car, outdoor train display areas and an operating tracks and train station.
